GEORGE’S, GRENADA – JUNE 25, 2025 – The Partnership Initiative for Sustainable Land Management (PISLM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Ronen Francis as its new Executive Director, following the conclusion of a comprehensive recruitment process.
The PISLM Ministerial Council formally approved the selection during its session held on Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, in St. George’s, Grenada, after the recommendation of the PISLM Executive Committee. Dr. Francis will assume leadership of the organization from August 1st, 2025, as it continues its mission to promote sustainable land management practices across the Caribbean region.
Dr. Francis brings to PISLM an impressive track record of leadership, innovation, and commitment. As a soil expert, he is well-positioned to advance the organization’s strategic objectives and deepen its partnerships across sectors.
Dr. Francis expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I am honored to be entrusted with this role at such a critical time for the region’s environmental sustainability. I look forward to working with our stakeholders to build resilient, productive landscapes that support both people and the planet.”

Honorable Minister Adrian Forde- Chair of the PISLM Ministerial Council believes that the new Executive Director’s vision will be instrumental in steering the organization into a new era of growth and impact. He said, “Survival must not now be seen as a privilege for us in the region it is a right.”
