THEME: “United for Land. Our Legacy. Our Future,”
This year’s theme call for us to Unite for Land, because Land is all we got as a people. In the past our focus was on working and managing it, but the responsibility is upon us today to ensure that as it’s passed from one generation to the other, we are leaving it in its best possible state to those who will inherit it.
The SOILCARE Project was designed to that we can fulfill our responsibility of leave a legacy that will rebound to the future generation in guaranteed food security, improved livelihoods and prosperity.
As we celebrate this important Annual Event, World Day to Combat Desertification, each of us must recommit ourselves to take responsibility to treat Soils and land with the respect it deserves for our legacy and future generations. Happy World Day to Combat Desertification.
